Sierra Leone’s President Julius Maada Bio Presents Conveyance and Survey Plan Of 2.249 Acres to Turkish Ambassador

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

State House, Freetown, Thursday 28 July 2022 – His Excellency President Dr Julius Maada Bio has presented a conveyance and survey plan for 2.249 acres of land to Ambassador Sibel Erkan for the construction of the Turkish Embassy in Freetown and in fulfilment of an earlier agreement with the President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

He added that he was looking forward to receiving his colleague, the Turkish President when he chose to visit Sierra Leone for the turning of the sod or the commissioning of the building.

Ambassador Erkan said she was humbled and happy to receive the document on behalf of her President and the people of Turkey, adding that it was also a big step in strengthening the relations between the two countries.
