SIERRA LEONE'S FIRST LADY ATTENDS THE “MY VISITS TO AFRICA” BOOK LAUNCH BY THE TURKISH FIRST LADY IN NEW YORK CITY, 20TH SEPTEMBER, 2021
As part of her private events and meetings at the ongoing 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York City, the U.S.A, The First Lady of the Republic of Sierra Leone, Her Excellency Fatima Maada Bio on Monday 20th September 2021 attended the official book launch ‘My travels to Africa’ of H.E Emine Erdogan at the Turkish house in New York City.
The book encompasses the experiences of the First Lady of Turkey in the African continent, while key parts of the book are expected to be used to support women and children that are in need, across the African continent.

The relationship between the First Ladies of Turkey and Sierra Leone can be described as a mother and daughter type, as their cordiality and interest in the work each other does is amiable.
Her Excellency Emine Erdogan has been to African countries such as Algeria, Zambia, Chad, Ivory Coast, Somalia, among others, and is expected to visit more in due time with Sierra Leone being top of her priority countries.
