Sierra Leone’s Deputy Head of Mission to Türkiye Attends the 2024/25 Academic Year Opening Ceremony

 

Presidential Complex, Ankara, Türkiye, Tuesday 8 October 2024 - Sierra Leone’s Deputy Head of Mission to Türkiye , Ambassador Paul A.S Minah has attended the Opening Ceremony for the Academic Year 2024-2025.
 
 
The educational collaboration between Sierra Leone and Türkiye has been significantly enhanced through various agreements and initiatives aimed at fostering mutual growth in this sector; including that which focused on technology, demonstrates a commitment to improving educational frameworks and opportunities for both nations.
 
Chairman of the Council of Higher Education, Mr. Erol Özvar, said the Council was determined to foster artificial intelligence as a permanent agenda item at the 2024/25 academic year, saying that the Turkish government has invested significantly in building new schools and upgrading existing facilities. This included both urban and rural areas to ensure equitable access to quality education.
 
 
President of the Republic of Türkiye, His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdoğan articulated a strong commitment from the Turkish government towards enhancing the education system across all levels.
 
This commitment he said was not merely a statement of intent but one that reflected a comprehensive strategy aimed at improving educational outcomes in the country.
 
 
The commitment by President Erdoğan signified a pivotal moment for Türkiye's educational landscape, aiming not only to improve current standards but also to lay a foundation for future generations.
