Sierra Leone Ambassador To Türkiye Francess Virginia Anderson Lays Wreath At Atatürk Grave, Writes And Signs Book Of commiseration
Anıtkabir Mausoleum Complex, Ankara, Friday 27th December, 2024 - Sierra Leone Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Türkiye, Francess Virginia Anderson, PhD, has laid a wreath at Mustafa Kamal Atatürk’s graveside, and has signed the Book of Commiseration for the fallen hero of Türkiye.

Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, also known as Mustafa Kemal Pasha was a Turkish field marshal, revolutionary statesman, author, and the founding father of the Republic of Türkiye, serving as its first President from 1923 until his death in 1938. He undertook sweeping progressive reforms, which modernized Türkiye into a secular, industrializing nation.

In the Commiseration Book, Ambassador Francess Virginia Anderson, described Atatürk as somebody who sacrificed for the freedom and safety of Türkiye.

“This memorial tomb represents not just his resting place, but a sacred space where we honor his bravery and dedication. It is a moment to reflect on his life, his service, and the profound impact he had on this great nation”, she noted.
