AMBASSADOR MOHAMED HASSAN KAISAMBA RECEIVED THE SIERRA LEONE MINISTRY OF DEFENCE DELEGATION IN ANKARA, TÜRKİYE, 28TH MARCH, 2022
H.E. Mohamed Hassan Kaisamba, Sierra Leone’s Ambassador to Türkiye, and his Defence Attaché, Colonel Muhammed Musa Hashim, have joined the Ministry of National Defence protocol officials in Türkiye in welcoming the Sierra Leone delegation from the Ministry of Defence.

The Eight-man delegation, headed by the Minister of Defence, Brigadier-General (Retired) Kellie Hassan Conteh, arrived at the Esenboga Airport in Ankara on Monday, 28th March 2022. The delegation made a short meet-and-greet stop at the chancery of the Sierra Leone Embassy before they were checked in at the Gaze Officers’ Club, where they were accommodated.
The delegation, which comprises two Brigadier-Generals, two colonels, three Lieutenant Colonels, and a Civilian Contractor, will examine consensual issues about Defence Cooperation and Military Framework, Security Issues, Training opportunities, and Procurement Choices with the Minister of National Defence of Turkey, His Excellency Hulusi Akar, and the Defence Industries president, Mr Ismail Demir respectively.
The delegation will visit several key installations in Ankara, including Türkiye Aerospace Industry, War College, Special Forces Training Base, and Turmak Mobile Hospital Industry. On Friday 1st, April 2022, the first Army Commander in Istanbul will receive the delegation. It will be entertaining with cultural activities and dinner. The delegation will depart Istanbul on Saturday, 2 April 2022.
