SIERRA LEONE EMBASSY IN THE REPUBLIC OF TÜRKİYE

BIO DATA OF H.E. FRANCESS V. ANDERSON (PhD).

Her Excellency Francess Virginia Anderson (PhD) is the Republic of Sierra Leone Ambassador-designate to Türkiye.

Among her major responsibilities are interfacing and negotiating with the host government on behalf of the Government of Sierra Leone on a wide variety of issues of mutual interest, including regional trade, security, and economic development; treaty negotiations; immigration; foreign aid; emergencies and natural disasters; humanitarian aid; and providing security for Sierra Leoneans in the host country.

Dr. Anderson joined the Diplomatic Corps in 2018 and served as Sierra Leone’s High Commissioner to Ghana and Ambassador to Togo and Burkina Faso until October 2024.

Her Excellency has qualifications in marketing, strategic management, tourism and travel management, Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Bolton, UK, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Diplomacy and International Affairs from EUCLID University.

She holds a CPD from the University of Oxford, Saïd Business School, UK. She is a Doctor of Business Administration Candidate (DBA) at the Paris School of Business in France.

Ambassador Anderson is a diplomat and politician with twenty-four (24) years of career and corporate experience across borders. As a persuasive communicator and an analytically-minded professional, she played key roles in negotiating corporate and international agreements.

In addition, her major interest is in foreign trade, investment, sustainable development, and international relations. During her private sector engagements, she served in numerous capacities in various establishments in West Africa. She was a management consultant providing evidence-based advice and technical support to a couple of businesses in the tourism and hospitality industry. She possesses a wealth of experience managing newly established businesses, supplying general amenities, and owns a hospitality consultancy firm in Sierra Leone.

H.E. Francess Virginia Anderson owns PENIEL HOSPITALITY AND GENERAL SOLUTIONS, and she is the Founder of TEWOH FOUNDATION, both in Sierra Leone.

Dr. Anderson is family-oriented and loves reading, songwriting, singing, cooking, and playing basketball.

She is a mother of three (3).

Empowering and mentoring youths have been a passion for her.

She is an ardent promoter of children's and women’s rights and an advocate of inclusive

governance.
